Why have I hoisted my personal site? |
|
|
|
Although I have browsed some excellent personal sites of different people, to be honest, I am not a fan of personal WEB sights. If this is so, then why have I decided to construct and host my personal site? |
|
I have quite varied interests and past times, and I am member of quite a few discussion groups, ranging form animals to religion, and I keep on contributing to these. Many members of these lists ask me questions about matters concerning my interests, and some inquire if I have a WEB site where they could get some information about Pakistan. Especially after 'Nine Eleven' and more so after US action in Afghanistan, when Pakistan became a frontline state against terrorism and got prominence in the world mass media, I started receiving many inquiries about Pakistan, ranging from people, geography, poilitics and Osama Bin Laden's whereabouts; many are convinced that he is in Pakistan. I, therefore decided to host a personal site, hoping to provide some information. I am very mindful of the fact that my site will not come to the expectations of all, but at least it is a try. |

Whereas I have quite a few interests, dogs are my passion; Labrador being my breed. Right from my childhood, I have been connected with Labs in way or the other. I have bred, trained, judged and hunted with them in the last 35 years. I have added some pages on dogs as a token of my way of honouring these wonderful friends of mankind. |

I am author of a book titled 'The Magnificent Labrador', which got published in June 2001. I have added an introductory page about my book including some reviews. I have put in lots of time and effort in this book and I hope those who are interested in dogs will find my book useful. |

I am also very ardent fancier of game fowl.Game fowls have always fascinated me. I do not indulge in cock- fighting; my main interest in this breed being conservation of game fowl, specially Pakistani breeds. I have added a page game fowls also about |

I have added pages containing some articals of varied interest. In due course of time, I plan to add more radicals that I may find of some interest. |

You will find a page about myself also. The reason I found it necessary to add some information about myself is that for anyone to evaluate a written work or opinion, the profile of its author is necessary. If one has some knowledge of the author's environments, life, training and experience, one can decide how much credence to give to his writings or opinion. When one writes about oneself, some egoist feeling do come in, so if you notice this please forgive me. |
